Job Description
Position Title: Ground Support Equipment Mechanic
Location: Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands
Duties: Performs maintenance inspections, services, repairs and overhauls of generator sets, power units, power plants, load switchboards, load distribution terminal boards, decontamination equipment, steam cleaners, small engine driven equipment, and other Special Purpose Equipment. Ensures work is complete and conforms to standards and requirements IAW Technical Manuals, Army Regulations, established processes, and local Standard Operating Procedures. Checks work of subordinate mechanics and creates schedules for shop employees.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equiv
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English at proficiency level 3.
Skill level and/or years of experience:
- Formal training in electrical systems diagnostics and repair.
Licenses/Certifications: AC/HVAC, Sec 608 and Sec 609 EPA certification.
Other Requirements:
- MUST HAVE Active U.S. Passport
- Prior military experience preferred
