Job Description
Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic-Senior Lead
Duties: Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, oversees the day-to-day execution
of the vehicle maintenance shop. Leads a team of personnel as a working Lead. Ensures
established policies and procedures are effectively enforced. Controls shop maintenance
schedule to ensure maximum utilization of assigned personnel. Reviews work in progress and
upon completion for conformance to standards and to ensure section maintains the highest
standards of workmanship and quality.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Must provide a copy of the diploma.
Skill level and/or years of experience: Minimum of six (6) years of combined experience in
wheeled and tracked vehicle maintenance at the journeyman level, with at least five (5) years of
supervisory experience. Must understand and be well-versed in the performance of
organizational, direct, and general support maintenance of tactical wheeled and combat (track)
vehicles.
Licenses/Certifications: Must possess a valid State Driver’s License. Must be able to obtain and
maintain USAG-KA license with appropriate endorsements.

Prior military experience preferred (not required)
